I lost my mum, Sarah, when I was just 23. I'm running in her memory, carrying her with me through every mile and creating a memory I hope would make her proud.

I'm running the London Marathon for Mum.
My name is Tamsin. In April 2027 I'll run 26.2 miles through London carrying my mum, Sarah, with me every step, and raising money so that no child has to face losing someone they love on their own.

Why I'm running
Every mile has a purpose.
This isn't just a marathon. It's three things at once, and I need all three to get me round.
For grieving children
I only wish the support Child Bereavement UK gives families every day had been there for us. No child should have to navigate losing someone they love feeling completely alone.
For me
On 10 April 2027, just over two weeks before race day, I'll celebrate three years alcohol-free. There's a voice in my head that says I can't do things. This is me proving, mile after mile, that it's wrong.

Who I'm running for
Child Bereavement UK
Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves, or when a child dies. Their support is free, UK-wide and open to any child or young person up to 25.
When my mum died, that kind of support simply wasn't there for us. It is now, and every pound raised helps keep it there for the next family who needs it.
